Don't judge a book by its cover

"Don't judge a book by its cover." We never know what lies inside a person. The talent, kindness and plethora of other qualities are camouflaged under the veil of physical appearance.
Here is an example of one such marvel.

Born on 16th December 1993 in Nagpur, Maharashtra Jyoti Kisange Amge is the world's smallest living woman. She suffers from a genetic disorder called achondroplasia, whose primary feature is dwarfism.

According to the Guinness World Records, Jyoti Amge is of a height of 62.8 centimetres. She is 6.2 centimetres shorter than Bridgette Jordan of the US who had previously held the record of being the world's shortest woman.

Jyoti Amge was seen in a 2009 documentary titled Body Shock: Two-foot tall teen.
She was also seen as a guest participant of Big Boss - 6 and she was cast in the fourth season of "American Horror Story: Freak Show" as Ma Petite.

With Teo Mammucari, an Italian actor presenter, Jyoti co-hosted Lo show dei record in 2012 on the Italian Channel Canale 5.

In 2012, she met the world's shortest man, Chandra Bahadur Dangi of Nepal. The pair posed together for the 57th edition of Nepal. The pair posed together for the 57th edition of the Guinness world records.

Earlier in April, Jyoti took to the streets of Nagpur and called on people to stay indoors following the corona virus-induced lockdown.

She has a wax statue. Her wax figure is displayed at the celebrity wax museum, Lonavala.

In a recent interview with Economic Times online, Jyoti revealed her ultimate goal. She said she wants to be famous enough so that everybody around the world knows her and she reaches the point of Oscars.
