Hearing a bell ring,
Gives my memories wings.
My morning started when Amma's bell rang ting ting,
In the background M.S. Subbulakshmi used to sing.
My bicycle bell rang ding-ding,
Till I arrived at my school at the last ring.
While waiting for the lunch bell to ring,
To eat the tiffins with friends while singing Madhuri's ding dong ding.
After returning from a day of playing,
I'm sitting here waiting for the phone to ring.
And jumping from the bed on tring-tring,
To chat with my bestie while playing with the string.
Annoying our neighbour with doorbell's ting tong ting,
And after seeing Mr Sharma we used to fling.
The ice-cream man's bell rang ting-ting,
And we all rushed to have our favourite thing.
The sound of the bell rings,
Along with many memories it brings.
Now the alarm bell rings,
And I fall off my swing,
To see my dreams blurring.
The old days have vanished along with the ring,
And I now wait to see what the new day will bring.
