Recent incident of various singers and performers alleging Music Director Anu Malik of Sexual Misconduct has resulted in the stepping down of Anu Malik as the judge of popular singing show Indian Idol. Sona Mahapatra has called it a “Symbolic Victory” for all the women in the country who have gone through this ordeal and a lesson for all the sexual predators out there.
Sona Mahapatra alleged Anu Malik in the year 2018, with Neha Bhasin and shewta pandit coming later in support. However, Sona Mohapatra relaunched her campaign against the composer and channel after SONY channel decided to retain Anu Malik on its popular singing show Indian Idol. Anu Malik retaliated with an open letter and received a swift reply from sona in the form of an open letter addressed to Union Minister for Women and child development Smriti Irani.
This is not the first time, sona has decided to hold the ground. There has been various incidents in the past which showed that she is a real and rationale ladaka who will not be intimidated and feared by anyone. She always raised her voice for the women welfare and gives her unbiased opinion over various topics. She is the real fearless Heroine.
