Express Gratitude And Attract Happiness

Express Gratitude And Attract Happiness

Happiness is not something readymade, it comes from your actions. - Dalai Lama.

What is happiness? Google defines happiness as the state of being pleased. For some spending time with their loved ones gives happiness, while for others reading a book and listening to soothing music gives happiness. Though it may sound strange some get an adrenaline rush by hoarding material wealth. There's no best way of finding happiness. Happiness is not a destination but is a journey. Practising gratitude every day helps us in attaining happiness.

According to Harvard Medical School professor Sanjiv Chopra money makes a few people less happy. Chopra says that it can be attained by human endeavour. Expressing gratitude for every blessing we are bestowed with helps us to dwell in happiness.

Make gratitude your way of life.

Each morning express gratitude for being able to wake up and enjoy the beautiful sunrise.
If you have your loved ones in your embrace express gratitude.
If you have a kitchen cabinet filled with ingredients and a refrigerator filled with vegetables express gratitude.
Be grateful if you can cook a decent meal for your family.
Be thankful for the eternal Him if you are healthy enough to run errands for your family.
If your home is filled with the laughter and giggles of children express gratitude. Not all couples are blessed with kids.
Express gratitude for the mess in your house. The mess suggests that you are not alone.
If you can perceive the taste and smell of food and surroundings express gratitude.
Stop complaining and try to view the brighter side of everything.

Chopra says that if you express gratitude regularly you'll be happy, creative and might even live a longer life. Gratitude is an effective analgesic even when you are sick.

Practice gratitude, be calm change your outlook and lead a happy life.
Make gratitude your way of life.

Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look backa nd realize they were the big things. - Robert Brault
