Title - Welcome Autumn
Waiting to be welcomed by him and his siblings - October and November
"Who is it, knocking so early in the morn?" came a voice, doused in slumber
"Autumn, I'm. Bright, vibrant and a seasonal member"
Spreading my gargantuan wings wide
I enshroud Nature in hues of orange, brown, red and yellow
Flushed leaves gently fall, blushing in my presence like a newly wed bride
Colorful surroundings I evoke, beautiful and mellow
The coquettish breeze caresses my cheeks
Sound of crunched leaves soothes my mind
Ah! How eagerly I've been waiting for days, no! weeks!
To inhale the fragrant aroma of dianthus and chrysanthemums carried by wind
Hazel acorns all over the forest floor, strewn
Apples and berries wild hanging from trees, luscious
Hedgehogs busy hibernating, morning and afternoon
Time to harvest pumpkins and bake pies, scrumptious
My presence, teaches you a lesson, profound
Look all around, embrace change like those fallen leaves on ground
Let go of your resentments, regrets and rancour that surround
Only then the real YOU, trapped inside, can be found.
