Mexican Tacos,My recipe book

I Have learnt cooking 22years back from Chellam cooking classes Chennai so here sharing one of the recipe from my recipe book…

Ingredients for dough

@1/2cup maize floor

@1cup maida

@Oil..2tblsp

@Salt to taste

Mix all ingredients make a soft dough and keep for rest atleast 2 hrs

For the filling

@Rajma..1/4kg

@Onion..1/4kg

@Tomato..1/4kg

@Chilli powder..2tsp or as per your taste

@Garam masala..2tsp

@Butter..30gm

For topping

@Chopped onion, tomatoes,corriander,cabbage

@Tomato sauce and chillie sauce

Method for preparing Tacos

#Dthe dough into small portion make round puris (prick on the top)

#Deep fry in hot oil

#While frying when it’s half fried fold into boat shapeand fry more till golden brown.drain the excess oil

#When completely cool store in a air tight container

Method of preparing filling

#Soak Rajma early morning in warm water atleast 3-4 hrs.Thrs.Then pressure cook

#In a kadai pour butter or oil as per your preference

#Fry onion till pink in colour

#Add tomato puree dry powder boil for sometime

#Add Rajma salt and butter and cover and cook on slow fire until the gravy  thickened.

#While serving stuff the tacos with filling and top with toppings serve immediately

How to serve

#In a plate spread the chopped cabbage.keep puri above that stuff the filling add chilli and tomato sauce decorate with onion tomato and dhaniya leaves .
