My soulful companion

My soulful companion

There was a large tamarind tree,

In my courtyard among so many greens.

My childhood chirped around its trunk,

Its cool breezes I could not bunk.

The ethereal flurry of air huge branches shower,

Makes me ramble and leisurely saunter.

It was testifier of all my cherubic naughtiness and fun,

Around that tree my childhood memories swivel and run.

I can say it was my truest buddy,

Sort of my living giant teddy.

I grew up watching it throughout all seasons,

It taught me to love all the trees with a soulful reason.

Every tree I used to see around,

It felt like a new friend found.

It\"s flowers, fruits, new leaves makes me elated with joy,

It exhilarated me more than any toy.

It was my companion in moments of sadness too,

I opened my heart and shared all my blues.

Being standstill, seemed like it heard wholeheartedly,

And cajoled lovingly and calmly.

I could say it was indeed my sweet bae, With whom i had shared my feelings of love and joy.
