Piece of advice for peace of mind !!
Everything looks cluttered,clumsy and messy.I look awful, all of a sudden my heart,my eyes hands, fingers,legs everything decides to go on a strike without my permission and without informing me .They all screamed in unison"We need a break !!" Even I felt the same, I need a break ,break from my daily routine, my responsibilities,my thoughts ,my work .
But my mind has mind of his own you know .It started telling me and my heart the repercussions of taking a break at this point of time .The picture my mind started showing to my eyes was scary and my heart started to sink and I decided that taking a break is not a good idea.But then my other parts started yelling at me that I am being cruel to them ,they have been working tirelessly and I am taking them for granted.Now my mind is oscillating like a pendulum ,confusing me even more whether to go for a vacation or not.
My mind is now shrieking and utterly out of control. I had a sudden realization that I am completely becoming crazy and I am loosing out.
My heart,who was sinking few minutes back started to take charge of himself started yelling at me and said "shalini don't believe everything the mind is making you think ,they are just thoughts, ignore them.
You have power over your mind, don't loose ,calm down your wild mind Shalini". "You will never find peace of mind until you listen to me".Like a guilty kid I was listening to what my heart was telling. Heart said " So my piece of advice for your peace of mind is to ask your mind to just shut up !! "
I am pretty sure a lot many of us have encountered such situations in our lives where the mind and it's thoughts empower us and we feel exhausted ,messed up,frustrated and chocked and a sudden realisation of leaving every thing and going for a break/ vacation hits us.
I personally believe that tired minds don't plan well so the first thing to calm your wild mind is relax ,take a deep breathe and sleep.just kidding ????. It's important to learn the art of relaxing and resting ,it allows us to clear our mind ,focus and create new solutions for our problems.There are numerous ways of relaxing our mind,for instance we can do meditation ,yoga,or even listening to a soothing music calms down the mind.Travelling also, it sometimes fills the gap and opens up the mind or spending time in nature / with nature, helps pulling out ourself from all the chaos.
Nurture the mind with great thoughts .Our mind is like a magnet it attracts what we throw at it.So if we think negative it will attract negativity. Try to count blessings, positivity,optimism and good thoughts so it will help mind to detoxify.
We worry too much,we are infected by our own thoughts and how our mind misunderstands and work. We don't allow our body mind and heart to heal.Our heart is very clear and knows what is wrong and right, it is the mind which confuses us.So it's a matter of programming our mind with the kind of information that sets us free from all thoughts.
It's time to silence our mind and send him on a vacation.The day when we shutup our mind will be the day when we start attracting blessings and positivity,it will be the day when we will compleyely heal ourselves.
So I am listening to my heart and taking a break and sending my mind too for vacations !!
