Nature clock is ticking, no matter we are ready to listen it or not, its ticking and it’s not a normal clock that just shows you time. This clock is of a time bomb which is about to explode due to variety of issues Carbon Emissions, Temperature rise, Global warming, glacier melting, Pollution and many more. Our earth is left with limited time and resources and we have got only one planet, Earth.
Environmental Activist are pursuing government in every possible way to read the writing on the wall and take actions in no time to bring immediate changes in their Industrial Productions and over all Green house Gases Emissions. Every big problem does have an initial starting point or you can say in this big picture, where are we as an individual, the answer is we are part of the problem, though a small one but we do have contributions in exhausting our environment.
We contribute through our wastage, by using more and more electricity, Consumption, vehicles usage and by many other ways. Studies show that an individual average waste in India is about 450 Grams. Daily Household Municipal solid waste generate is in the bracket of 170 gm- 620 Gm. Our waster production has increased substantially in the past years and this is something to worry about. Changing lifestyle has brought us many changes in our life but we can very well try to minimize it to a leverl where we can help our planet earth to regrow and nourish itself. Lockdown has shown us that life presides everything else . Following are the ways by which you can help planet
- No plastic: You have got substitute for every plastic made. Polythene can be very well replaced by Jute bags or papers bags. Cotton Cloth bags offer you an absolute zero waste.
- Recycle: If there is a plastic made that can not be replaced, recycle it. Google the nearest waster collection center of your municipal and deposit your recyclable waste on your way to office or work.
- Consume Less: Electricity , water, vehicle everything we overuse, hurts our planet and hinders your clean oxygen. Use the ultra Minimalistic approach to use these things wisely.
- Go back to basics: Traditional Indian Methods were completely in sync with the concept of recycling and no waster principle. Use buckets for bathing not shower. Use a mug for daily hygiene activities and not running tap. There are numerous examples for this, read it , learn it and practice it, also popularize it .
There are many other ways by which you can contribute to save your environment and make this world a better place for all .
