Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein: Clueless and an Ultimate Senseless
While OTT has given us few remarkable shows, it has also given us many ordeals and headaches. The latest one is Netlflix’s Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein. I was impressed with the online circulating poster of the series and when my editor asked to watch and submit a review, I was all right with that. But the moment I started watching the series, I knew this ride is going all the way down to nowhere. As, I have experienced all the pain, I wish to save others from going through this senseless story (was there a story?) like a superhero and trust me, you all are gonna thank me for that.
Well, the plot is about the love of daughter, Purva (Anchal Singh) of a rich and bad ass feudal lord with a garib and khuddar kind of boy, Vikrant (Tahir Bhasin). The boy loves another girl , Shikha (Shweta Tripathi) and desperately wants to get married to her with some weird fantasy of Chota Ghar, chota Garden. The progression depicts his struggle to achieve what he wants with what he has and the conflicts and the subsequent solutions leading to more bhasad, I mean more conflicts. The Protagonist of the series Vikrant is the most confused guy with audience seeing thousands of contradictions in his personality, conduct and voice over.
Shweta Tripathi impressed in a very less screen time and the best part lies with Anchal Singh who has done justification with her character Purva and managed to depict the true nature of Purva that is brutal, paranoid and possessive, all at the same time. Other actors who played their best are Dharmesh (Surya Sharma), our very own Saurabh Shukla ji. Screenplay had various loose points and along with week dialogues the story has no standing at all.
Now, am struggling to find good parts, hmm, Ok locations were good, costumes of Purva were good, Brijendra Kala comic timing was good, Motion Poster was very good and in capital, THAT IS IT.
If you have thing that you have seen the worst, think again and give this series a watch, you may change your opinion.
